Is the old GPO clock tower also still called Victoria Tower? IIRC the Town Hall clock tower is the Albert Tower.
Yes Rhino I think we now have two Victoria Towers
As for the Albert Tower, thanks for mentioning that because it led me down a rabbit hole where I found this Advertiser article from 1864.
There is apparently a time capsule cemented into it!

I'm looking forward to seeing the gold crown and carpark louvres being added.
It's looking like quite the quality development!

There's some minor details that irk me though.
For example the white "lines" aren't symmetrical on either side.
On the eastern side, the balconies differ from approx. level 20ish onwards, but it seems at a random point - no synchronising with the the white lines or other architectural features.
I get that it's not completed yet, but I don't hold out great hope that these details will be rectified as it looks like anything below level 20 is pretty much the final product.

That lack of symmetry seems intentional, less that the white lines aren't the same, and more that the black sections are intended to form a curving shape. I quite like it.

The balconies difference, which is at lvl 21, is because from that level the apartments are larger on that side. They get even larger at higher levels once again. So yeah, it is going to look the way it looks now.

New/updated ad on domain.com features photos of the near-complete build and claims it will be finished in September. Priced from $523K.
I forgot about that gold bit down the side! And will the Eastern wall mural from the early renders be realised, or did that idea get dropped?

Calling it now: this will be one of our finest high-rise buildings in the City.
It will be very interesting to see who they tenant at ground level - this is currently an area which could currently attract top-level tenants; but the area is changing very rapidly.
We're 24 months off having CMAR tenants take hold, so perhaps these early-comers will ride some good waves on their timing.
Truly exciting for this pocket of the City, and frames up analysis for the bus station development, former Tangcheng Gouger Street site, Australia Post site - the list goes on.

This one has made an impact on the skyline from Port/South Road/NSM intersection heading into the city.
It's easy to be sitting at the lights and imagining what the skyline would look like with all the gaps between the new 'tall' builds filled in, and how much of an impact the masons and ft2 will make as well.

It won't be long!
I was driving up Sturt Street this afternoon and you simply cannot miss the Halifax Street 'Crystalbrook Sam' tower crane.
Even though it's only 50-odd metres, it will be another building that will change the skyline of the city from various approaches.
Our 'postcard' photo will need updating annually at this rate!
