So 'City West - City Shuttle' means it runs from Victoria Square to City West only and back?

And where does the 'South Terrace - City Shuttle' route to?

And where does 'Adelaide - City West' route to? From Moseley Sq to City West?
City West - City Shuttle services commence at South Terrace and terminate at City West.

Adelaide - City West services commence at Moseley Square Glenelg and terminate at City West.

South Terrace - City Shuttle services commence at City West and terminate at South Terrace.

I thought that it probably would've been smarter to have one programmed destination for all services to City West.

Thing is, they are trying to be really extensive with their routes that they are printing on the trams, but what about the express from greenhill road to marion road tram???

That is why they should just use numbers like buses, or just print their destination and the tram number like they do in Melbourne. They could number the glenelg to city west tram as 1, and have 1X for express to marion road, and have say 99B (how original am I!!) for the shuttle tram! I think people would be less confused as we are used to the numbered bus system. Also like our buses they should print their destination eg City West, South Tce, Mosely Sq Glenelg.

Rundle Mall
Clipsal 500
Savings & Loans

All South Australian!

There is a programmed desto for the one evening express service each weekday.

Also, Ben, the Casino tram has been rolling around for a fair while now. There is another tram now with Maccas AOA.

I would have hoped that the trams would be painted to promote SA events or companies only. I am very displeasured that there will be a McDonalds tram.

I am very displeasured that I didn't think of that word first! :x

But I agree about the McDonalds tram. It should be coupled to one advertising research into childhool obesity.
cheers,

from the little snip pic i saw on the railpage website, the cheeseburger tram looks quite good. Very clever to advertise on the trams considering the trams have got so much attention over the past year.
I noticed the V8-111 tram run past work today so the wheels must be fixed up. Ive also noticed that when the Rundle Mall tram turns from North Tce into King Wil st, everyone stares at it

Had another late-night run with the tram today, and the schedule is perfect. It was on time, and it got to Stop 10 Marion Road on time, allowing me to make my connection with the M44 (the transfer time is 2 minutes, I know, I'm game )

But finally things have fallen into place. We can be proud of this one people, this is the best piece of Public Transport we have served up in recent times.

I mean overall, including the Bus Changes last October, which were OK, but the buses are STILL running late... at least the trams are on time pretty much all the time.

Just going back to the Advertising quickly, this is what happens when a Melbourne Z3 has seen too many adverts over the years! This one was caught running in between a repaint. Photo posted on Railpage.

Just taking stock of AOA (All Over Advertising) trams in Adelaide:

102 - Savings and Loans
103 - Maccas
104 - Sky City
110 - Rundle Mall
111 - Clipsal 500

That is nearly half of the entire fleet in AOA livery and all that achieved in only 6 weeks or so. Not bad going for Adelaide.

I personally really like the advertising on all the trams. It adds a lot more colour to the street... Better than the plain Metro colours...

There is another tram coming with Tour Down Under signange.

There is a contract in place to cover half of Adelaide's Trams. They apparently have a number of new advertisements lined up when the current ones expire. Internal advertising commences Feb 08 - I'm full of useless facts today :)
