Hmm not quite sure If I like a Maccas Tram. But its great to see all these trams with all over advertising, brings colour to the streets and gives a nice cosmopolitan vibe to the city.

Great to hear about a Tour Down Under Tram, hopefully theres plans for the Fringe and Arts Festival.

Bloody hell our city is so much better with the trams. It has buzz and colour and vibrancy. I want more tram lines. Where should the next extension be to?
Is it silly to suggest a tramline (light rail connection) along Currie St - Grenfell St, East Tce, through parklands, along Hackney rd, to a interchange at the start of the O'bahn, so that the silly, noisy, polluting obahn buses arent clogging up Grenfell St, especially when the articulated buses are phased out. Obahn buses end at Hackney Interchange, then u transfer onto quick/efficient light rail that run every few mins to town. Hackney Rd is quite wide too, to support tram only lanes

Now that things have had some time to settle down concerning smooth operation, the novelty factor etc, what is the patronage like compared to the opening week - higher, lower, inconsistent, happy, critical. Anyone done any homework on this? I consider it important concerning empirical info for extensions - something I believe most of us want to see. We could even use the info in editorials to sell the 'tram factor' concerning more extensions.

I love the advertising on the trams, it does bring a cosmopolitan vibe to the city.

Adelaides's weekend heritage runs appeared to return to normal this morning with H's 351 & 367 on duty.

The first shot from the morning run has the trams turning into North Tce.

Saw one of the H Class trams down at Glenelg this afternoon. Quite a few ppl seemed to be using the H's still even with no airconditioning.

Also saw a Flexity (sorry, didnt grab the no.) which had 'Test Tram' in its desto. Does anyone know what tests they were doing?

Don't get me wrong I love the new trams and infrastructure. However one thing that really needs to be done is the installation of bins at the new tram stops. Everyday I go to work or drive through the city there is a fair bit of rubbish lying over the stops or on the tracks near the stops. This may seem like a minor detail but it along with permanent timetables will finish the stations off nicely.

The grass layed in and out of the Victoria Square sections was completely stupid considering the drought and water restrictions. It looks terrible now. They should have used true innitiative and planted native low lying grass species that look almost the same as grass and can still be trodden on and hardly grow even 1cm tall. Or placed dripper irrigation underneath the grass which is a new trend. Basically english grass and Australia don't mix! How much longer until we realise this.

351 and 367 were again running in timetabled service today so it looks as if everything is as it was before the opening of the extension. When running northbound at Victoria Square, the last door on the H class was roped off because of the gap and the the connie was directing all potential passengers to the door towards the middle of the set.

How large is the gap between the back of H-class and the platform on the Up at Victoria Square usually? I've only seen them operate single car services prior to them running the normal heritage services as two-car sets.

Can I refer to post of 1/12/07 - what is the difference or change in patronage since things have settled down. It was extremely high usage on opening - is this still the case?

I patronise the trams regularly and the patronage is much higher than normal. Off-peak services carry a much larger capacity than what used to be - You would have never boarded a old tram at 2pm and it was full. When I do now, its always full (seating-wise).

Even late at night, the tram has a moderate patronage... it's amazing!
