The Advertiser is a joke; i really wish we had another paper to challenge it - one with positive editorials, is pro-development and has decent text, grammar and vocabulary.

And it's not a "conservative" paper. It's a peice of shit paper. It targets the chit-chatty middle class in the inner suburbs and the bogans in the outer suburbs.

Labor must be very cashed up for this campaign. They've blanketed radio and television with ads. I haven't seen a single Liberal ad yet!

They're lame, predictable polls anyway that always get 90/10 results. Things like "Should taxes be lowered for families," etc.

Polls are also bad particularly if there's the capability of voting more than once. Someone could seriously skew the result by voting dozens of times.

I hate the Advertiser too, but for different reasons.
Alexander Downer's attack on the premier was so pathetic. Claiming that Rann takes the credit for federal government projects.

What a load of s#it! So the libs are claiming that the Rann government did not have to do anything to win the air-warfare destroyer contract? So they are saying that a bid from Victoria and Tenix was not required as they had already made up their mind, that SA was the best place to develop the new air-warfare destroyers?

And also I have received some propaganda from my local Liberal candidate claiming that Mr. Rann has taken credit for the Alice Spring to Darwin railway. I knew the Libs are into lying to the electorate but this claim is very low. Mike Rann has never claimed credit for the railway, in-fact when it was opened he brang in John Olsen, because he recognized that it was not his governemnt's project. Don't beleive me, I have the newspaper clippings!

And by the way, I am going to be nicer to the Advertiser/Sunday Mail in the next few days. Their editorial on Sunday was spot on.

Experts predict landslide win for SA Labor
Saturday, March 18, 2006. 7:03am (AEDT)
http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/20 ... 594961.htm

The Labor Party is headed for a landslide win in today's South Australian election according to political experts.

Adelaide University's Dr Clem McIntyre predicts that Labor will win 28 seats while the Liberals will drop to 17.

He predicted the Government would snatch five of the seven marginal seats held by the Opposition.

"That'll give them about 10 seats more than the Opposition and I suppose that will have to be defined as a landslide in a Parliament of only 47," Dr McIntyre said.

Labor has run a presidential style campaign promoting Premier Mike Rann, while the cash-strapped Liberal Party only began television advertising in the final week.

Dr McIntyre said the Opposition's lack of boldness and imagination has played into the Government's hands.

"It's a campaign that suited the Government from the outset," he said.

"They wanted it to be relatively flat and lacklustre and that's what they've had.

"The Liberals were behind from the start and it seems to me that if they were going to win they had to really push the Government hard and I don't think Labor has been pushed out of its comfort zone for the whole of the election."

Polling booths open at 8:00am local time.

Rann for President of South Australia. He is a really good leader, he knows what he is talking about and he knows what he needs to achieve.
Much unlike Rob Kerin who is lost for words every time the media asks him a question. Absolutely deplorable, he shouldnt even deserve a spot in Parliament. Well im off to influence my family to vote Labor!

And here I am sitting thinking he could bowl anyone over with hard tackling having played AFL footy. Lmao. What a Rannslide it has been, not an 11 seat majority, but a 28 seat majority compared to liberals 14, thats double what Liberals have. They really are in for a wild ride.
