Actually, it's a little more complicated than that. They also need to be powerful enough to make any hills at speed (such as the climb at Hope Valley Reservoir) and need to be a right length to combat skidding or whatever problems they had again.

A new model articulated bus is being designed for the O-Bahn and its not far away now, that is all i will say

Actually its not, all they have is a guide wheel bolted on each side.

It's always been a problem with the Merc Artics where the trailer's tyre would scrape along the track at specific corners at specific speeds.

LOL I remember before they introduced the slower speeds on the inner section that the artics' rear wheels used to squeal worringly on the corners when certain drivers used to gun it a little much.

What ever happened to the recommended rear guide wheels on artics?

i have not been following this thread closely, so excuse me if i'm reopening a resolved conversation:

I presume heaps of people from Wayville, Goodwood & Hyde Park travel on the Trams to the CBD each day. Given the peak hour tram congestion, does it make sense to have extra trams run between Goodwood <--> North Terrace (instead of going all the way to glenelg). I presume an extra siding would need to be created near Goodwood? would this work?
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
