What's the deal with Nick Xenophon? Is he part of the "No Pokies" party or he IS the "No Pokies" party? I can't figure this guy out - has he actually achieved a reduction in pokies? Apparently he's won two seats in the upper house which says something about his antics but I still don't know what's he achieved.
Don't really know either - just see him on TV alot whinging about things. Just found his web site so maybe this might tell us more...

I am very happy that the people of this state realized that there was absolutely no reason to oust the Rann government.
The Libs did not have a vision for this state, during the election campaign they put together a raft of policies which were dull, stagnant and old. There was also a policy vacuum, I remember when Rob Kerin had his major party rally, underneath the paulpit there was a poster saying 'if you want this road to be 60 again, vote Liberal'. How embarassing that, that was their major policy. Another factor was their lack of disciple, and the lack of proffesionalism in the party. They did not present their ideas, or alternative policies very well. We all remember the Labor party's slogan of 'Rann Gets Results', but what about the Liberal slogan, I can't remember it. It was something like 'Listening, Reading, Acting'.
Their campaign was very 1950's, even though I live in a safe ALP seat, I would still have liked to receive some form of propaganda from my local Liberal candidate. He made absolutely no effort to introduce himself to the electors, and as a result the electors acted accordingly.
Even though, Rob Kerin is a genuine gentleman, he should not have lead the party. He lacks passion, enthusiasm and his appearance is very agricultural.
Luckily the people of SA voted for the only real choice this election. I look forward to another 8 to 12 years of peace, prosperity and progress and trams!
