Also, we have another thread for this: http://www.sensational-adelaide.com/for ... ?f=8&t=161

Heres another render of the project, from the developers website.
It is actually called The West Lakes Collection if a moderator wants to change the title.
I sent an email to the Charles Sturt Council to see if we can obtain further information on this, hopefully a document outlining its status quo inc. renders, height, sustainability, etc.

Its not what I'd call a tower crane (since its not on a tower), but its not one of those mobile telescopic cranes since it appears to have been assembled on site.

It's a Samaras 50T track mounted crane to be used in the piling, which will be interesting to watch. They were pouring a heap of pilescrawf wrote:A tower crane?
on site today, to be installed using the "G-Pile" system (Australasian Piling) - no vibration / noise, apparently so as not to disturb the
Lakes Hotel next door. I've just been watching their piling video - quite interesting to see a pile being "injected" instead of hammered.

^^ Thanks for those links Xaragmata. I am really hoping that they use these machines for the upcoming build on Hindmarsh Sq as I live right next door.

I saw plans for these apartments last week and never thought about jotting down any details. If I get to see them again in the next couple of days I'll get the height but no renderings.

So looking at those pics we can assume that this is now under construction? Maybe time to change the thread title.

Had a quick look at plans for Apartment B and didn't find any elevations. I'm guessing it will be around the high 20s.Ho Really wrote:I saw plans for these apartments last week and never thought about jotting down any details.
