[CAN] Spire Living | 107m | 37lvls | Residential
[CAN] Re: #Approved: Spire Living - 110m, 35 lvls
So Howie, any word from the developer whose supposedly been following this thread? I would love to hear what they have to say in response to the large backlash over the new design?
The amended proposal is 107.2m/37lvl - The 'approved' design is the 35lvl one which the most of us liked, hopefully the ACC see likewise and reject the newer.
As for the buyers, surely there must be some legal concerns regarding misleading statements, etc. In regard to the newer design, someone made a mention of this on the former page, which was a very valid point.

Not all buyers (maybe a minority) will be concerned with exterior appearances. I would assume most would be more interested in what they get on the inside and how much they can save on energy and be green. What do you think?Shuz wrote:...As for the buyers, surely there must be some legal concerns regarding misleading statements, etc. In regard to the newer design, someone made a mention of this on the former page, which was a very valid point.

'supposedly'? I can assure you he is. And I posted his comments above, but it appears few people have noticed it. Once the frenzy is over and everyone has calmed down, he'll chat to us a bit more on the design of the building.Shuz wrote:So Howie, any word from the developer whose supposedly been following this thread? That is a bit of a strange tactic. I would think it be better to clear the record now over the new design and not let any potentially misguided opinions fester.Howie wrote:'supposedly'? I can understand where he's coming from. He can only reply to specific concerns... comments like "it's shit" he obviously can't reply to, but things like "why was the wall blocked out" he can.

I certainly hope the developers are quick to produce some new renders, because at the moment it looks as though the Telstra Exchange has reproduced.

What has gone from one of Adelaide's most anticipated new developments has gone to Adelaide's most horrific developments that will blight the skyline for another 20 years or so until it's blocked out.
Glad I never purchased into this development and will now set my sights on the precinct to purchase.

Thats the Stamford Plaza. And yep i agree... fugly as!UrbanSG wrote:I hate the Stamford Grand or maybe I meant Plaza. The one in the city anyway
It is one of the ugliest and most bland designs in Adelaide and ages our northern skyline terribly. It needs a makeover. Inside it is just as bad. The old carpet makes the place smell like vomit.
The Stamford Grand is the one at Glenelg
