I dare say that they are for the core.
Well, I was wrong, they weren't for the core, they were for the northern basement wall.
None the less, good to see activity finally on this site!

Well after all their hard work of late :wank: they must have thought they deserved the day off as there is not one person on site.
I really hope not, but to me it seems maybe the developer is having financial issues otherwise why would you tolerate this pathetic excuse of a construction job.
It has been 6 months and not even one level has been competed so at this rate 12 levels (inc one for basement) x 6 months equals approx another 6 years minimum before this is complete at this rate.

I thought all construction sites had a day or two off after a public holiday. That has been the way for a long time. Was there any action on the other sites near your work today Ben?
This is taking a long time. I would be worried if I was that child care centre taking bookings for 2009 as advertised on the banners attached to the fences on this site.
I think this one will go from virtually no activity for so long, to a huge amount activity and progress in a quick space of time when the concrete is finally poured and the steel frame starts. Please hurry up!

Good to see the site had a 300% increase in workers after thier RDO.
I counted 3 people on site in the morning. By 2pm they had all gone, not sure what they were doing.

Lots of work on site today. the most I have seen since construction has started. About 20 really long steel beams have been delivered to site. Looks like this ones progress is about to be turned up.

Ben, you're the man of the moment - the guru of the south! Most appreciated for the details on all that is happening there -esp. 400KWS. They want to get moving before it rains again!

The steel beam delivery is about the most interesting news to date. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Although after tonight's storm I hope the site doesn't resemble a mud hole again tomorrow.

Went past today and quickly saw those large steel beams lying around. They look impressive. Also noticed plastic and steel mesh layed over the western portion of the site ready for the concrete to be poured. There also seemed to be a fair few workers around as Ben reported yesterday.

Excellent pic Ben. Some of those steel beams are now up in place and look fairly big on the northern portion of the site. This site is kicking into gear quickly like we thought it would one day. Finally!!!
