Hey Ben, sorry to be annoying but you are so close to these developments just had a couple of questions.
Has there been much excavation work going on at this site? I have only had a chance to drive past and haven't been able to see if any excavation is occurring?
Also is the site on the other side of King William progressing well?

Nothing is happening on this site as it hasn;t received approval for substructure last time i looked but should be this week sometime so should see progress maybe as soon as next week. As for Wave and Edge, yes lots of work going on. This one will move quickly by the looks of it. Just getting prepared for a bit concrete pour in the next few weeks.
As for 400 KWS maybe check my post from January... still the same lol hopefully they will get there act together before there is any more rain which will delay things even more as the mud has only just dried up from the previous rains.

Thanks for that Ben.
Wave and Edge sound good. Nice to hear some decent progress.
Yes, I saw 400KW quickly today as I drove past, it looks as though they are trying to level the site out for an eventual concrete pour. They are taking their time though, they really need to hurry up or they may get caught out again.

Can change thread to Under Construction. Hanson Yuncken are the construction company for this project too - certainly getting alot of work lately.
Signage is up on site and plenty of workers on the ground.

Apparently they have produced their own for this development, and it will resemble a giant HILLS HOIST!! LOLPikey wrote:Done!Ben wrote:Can change thread to Under Construction. Hanson Yuncken are the construction company for this project too - certainly getting alot of work lately.

Crane pieces are being delivered to site... not sure why so soon?
Looks like they have started installing it. The Crane Base is a large Metal like base. It's only temporary but should be visable from the airport.

Noticed earlier today from the tram that there was some ground drilling going on.

Really? Are the tower segments like a normal tower crane? Pics?

This potential crane sounds interesting. I have noticed in Adelaide it takes us a while to get cranes up, whereas intersate eg WA they go up almost as a site is cleared sometimes. Look forward to the pics Ben. Thanks for all the updates so far.

Went for a cruise today down to the various building sites around the Hills Industries development. I doubt very much those crane sections are for this site. More likely they are just there for temporary storage for one of the other sites across the road (most probaby the Kyren development which has steelwork going up). It's way too early for this one to have a crane when they will need to do piling and digging here first.
Cheers
