I don't drive and I address this problem by buying everything online.

Cruise, just get one of those little canvas trolley carts like my Nanna used to have. She used to walk to Arndale nearly every day and back to get her groceries with her little green/brown cart. Sometimes she took it on the old Volvo 231 bus into town. Its amazing what you can fit in them.

And take a photo with u and the trolley too

Some friends of mine (family of 4: 2 adults, 2 kids aged 8 & 10) have NEVER owned a car, and have lived in Adelaide for the last 12 years. They catch PT everywhere. If they make a big purchase then it gets home delivered.

Not surprisingly they are of European descent

I don't have a TV... ;)

I did, and I had it delivered. As with anything I can't cart home myself, I get them delivered. Ikea is fantastic that way.

It is a little annoying not having a car, but it's not as impossible as you lazy buggers make it out to be (provided you are serviced by reasonable PT!)

Grocery shopping isn't that heavy. I walk to the supermarket. When I want to go to TTP, I walk. If I want to go to Adelaide I catch the...

When I go out for a night on the tiles I used to catch a taxi home, but since they brought in the N serices for the price of a metroticket I started catching that and I get to come home on the...

O-Bahn and drunk, life doesn't get much better than this. ;)

I may have... just in passing. ;)

I've been keeping an eye out for any prep-work for this, nothing as yet. I don't know how to work the TTG council/the developers for info though...

Well I was lead to believe work was starting in May 2008, but in obviously didn't.

Harris scarfe is moving into where BiLo used to be, but I wouldn't necessarily say that means the major development is about to start, unfortunately. I think it is quite independant of that.

As for any prep work, all I have seen is that the carpark between Kmart entrance and tea tree plus (which is where most of the new construction is going to be) has spray paint markings all over it, so clearly they have marked out where utilities etc are, but those markings have been there since at least April and still no action.

I haven't been able to find any more out but I'll keep my ear to the ground!

I thought that construction might be imminent with HS moving from Tea Tree Plus to the Plaza, but it seems this is not the case. Apparently a Cheap as Chips store is opening up in the old HS store

probably does not mean too much. Cheap as Chips can setup and pull down a store in a matter of minutes :-) the landlord would be happy to get the extra rent - even for just a short period...
