I'm with you AtD. Far out, is Adelaide a city or a little village in the Cottswalds. Sometimes it feels like the latter.

I leave a plastic-wrapped polystyrene esky at the Town Hall and it gets approved as a block of apartments? Dear me.

Did not know where else to put this, but does anyone know waht is going on at the corner of Hutt street and Angas street (near victoria race course). I drove past there today and a huge hole is being dug and there is a sign that states something about apartments.

Called " East Apartments ". A four level apartment building aimed more at owner-occupiers.
They are advertised each weekend in the paper

This thread is so untidy.

Um, Frank1 if you still care, (and you're still there) East Apartments has around 50 car parks in the basement, and another 20 or so on the ground floor.

Merc On Gouger - the only two apartments that would be livable were sold within seconds (if not prior) - 1 in excess of $1m, the other $800k+. When will developers learn? Give me some space.

That community housing thing on Whitmore Square looks awful.

Which developer is responsible for 125-131 Sturt Street?

East Apartments Hutt Street

#551 Post by Professor » Thu Sep 18, 2008 8:03 pm

This is a four level development that is well underway on the corner of Hutt and Angas. Near where I live and the basement area has been completed. The apartments and retail areas cover a large floor area.

OK OK - I tried to paste a photo in but failed.

Worth its own thread or not?

Probably worth it's own post at least. Maybe delete this and make a post about it in the 'CBD Development: Low/Mid rise thread'? Up to you.

This development is too small to have its own thread. Additionally information regarding it has already been posted on the 'Low to Mid-rise development' thread.

241-261 Rundle? Correct me if I'm wrong but that sounds like a pretty large site. 40m long maybe? It'd include demolishing Nova and the old place on the Union St corner that has some nice period features and probably a couple of other buildings too. Wouldn't it also mean that cool new piece of street art in Union St would be demolished too? That'd suck.

TBH 'Tourist accommodation' sounds a bit too much like a large backpackers hostel for my liking.
