Not bad, not bad. Nice to see decent height along the northern side of Grenfell, and the inclusion of extra storefronts rather than the dire, desolate bosh that is there now.

Thanks mate - that helps with the diagrammatical representation of heights along Grenfell. The building with the sloping roof you mention is the SA Water Building or Australis House. That one is taller than 115 Grenfell Street. The SA Water Building is 96m and 22 levels. It's only what me and several others have said so no, I don't think it's too harsh.
I just think it needs a little bit more style and something special and unique, without being too over the top.

Off topic I know, but after what I said earlier in this thread about the Myer Centre and its ugly food court, I got a big surprise today. The Myer Centre food court is in the process of being completely refurbished and will be very modern when complete.
I still doubt it will feel as spacious as I would like it too though, as it will probably still have all those kiosks and very little natural light.
Will be 10 times better than it was though.

Article in the city messenger stating that the Adelaide City Council has removed themselves from the development process for this building. Apparently, they own property located in the development site so have pulled out on legal advice and the State Government will be assessing instead.

THE City Council has ruled itself out of assessing the $150 million Harris Scarfe site development because of a conflict of interest.
The 19-storey retail and office tower planned for the Rundle Mall site will now be assessed by the State Government’s Development Assessment Commission (DAC).
The conflict of interest centres on the City Council’s ownership of two portions of land on the site a 2000 sqm basement loading dock and 1685 sqm of the ground floor.
Harris Scarfe already pays the council rent for its portion of the ground floor.
Lord Mayor Michael Harbison said the council had sought legal advice and had been warned the conflict of interest was too great.
“We’ve got property ownership as part of it and it’s not just putting up a toilet, it’s a significant development,” he said.
Mr Harbison said the council stood to gain “substantial” financial benefit from the development and it would be inappropriate for Town Hall to be involved in the assessment process.
Mr Harbison did not have exact details about the council’s prospective financial gain, saying: “That will be up to financial negotiations between council and the developer.”
The development was set to be City Council’s last chance to assess a development of more than $10 million.
Applicant Alteman (SA) lodged its plans on July 16, just one day before the State Government seized control of planning powers for major developments.
The project would require the demolition of the Harris Scarfe department store, which also fronts Grenfell St. The application is expected to go before the DAP for comment next month before being assessed by the DAC.
