TRURO killer James Miller has been transferred to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and may have just hours to live.
Stricken with terminal cancer, Miller was expected to die in Yatala’s infirmary sometime this week, but was transported under police escort to the RAH late last night, the City Messenger reports.
Miller, one of South Australia’s most notorious prisoners, is serving a life sentence for murdering six women and dumping their bodies in bushland between 1976 and 1977.
All I can say hope he dies a long, painful and slow death!.
My mum still hates driving through Truro because of these killings. While personally I could live in the town, it might have a very dark past however its not the towns fault (same with Snowtown). Though with the Snowtown Killings, most of it happened in Murray Bridge and the northern suburbs!
I really feel for these two towns considering it has given them a bad reputation for ever and it wasn't their fault, especially Snowtown. I reckon the town should look at changing the name of the town

CAN you pick the flavour of South Australia's most popular drink?
A milky taste war has erupted with Coca-Cola Amatil releasing a competitor to Farmers Union's legendary iced coffee.
So the Sunday Mail devised the ultimate test to see if iced-coffee lovers could spot the difference between the new drop – from Goulburn Valley Dairy Co – and Farmers Union.
SA is the only place where milk is more popular than soft drinks and Farmers Union out-sells Coca-Cola almost three to one.
A group of six building site workers took part in a blind test, tasting three samples – Farmers Union, Goulburn Valley and existing competitor Pura Classic Coffee.
And despite the builders' confidence they would know the classic Farmers Union taste, the results were less than emphatic.
During the test only two of the six successfully picked which of the three samples was Farmers Union. And just half nominated it as their favourite.
Brookfield Multiplex safety officer Scott Jeffs, 43, of Redwood Park, was surprised when he could not pick the classic Farmers Union taste.
"I thought I would be able to pick it," he said.
"The new Goulburn Valley is creamy, it's definitely a different taste – but it's not better than Farmers Union."
And although during the test claiming Farmers Union "could have been stronger", he said he would remain loyal. "Farmers Union iced coffee, meat pies and Holden cars are SA icons," he said.
"(Goulburn Valley) might give it a nudge but South Australians will stick to the Farmers Union."
Coca-Cola Amatil will release Goulburn Valley iced coffee – specifically tailored to local taste buds – on the SA market tomorrow.
While two builders picked Pura as their favourite, Tom Gallagher, 42, of Cheltenham, was the only one of the group to favour the new drop.
"(The Goulburn Valley) was my favourite for the smoothness," he said.
Iced coffee has been hailed as SA's favourite drink, making up about 75 per cent of all flavoured milk sales, according to AC Nielsen data.
Coca-Cola South Pacific public relations manager Sarah Kelly said the company was confident South Australians would enjoy its new flavoured milks.
"We encourage people to try it and decide for themselves," she said.
But National Foods, which owns Farmers Union, remains confident.
"Farmers Union is iconic in SA, it's SA's favourite coffee flavoured milk (and) coffee is what we do best," spokesman Julian Caples said.
"We welcome competition in all the markets we play in because it stimulates interest in the product."
Food marketing consultant Wayne Lyons predicted the showdown would be more a battle of brands rather than a trial of taste.
"It will be Farmers Union's toughest competitor yet," he said. "A significant part of it will be brand and positioning the brand but to their credit Farmers Union have done that incredibly well with marketing and positioning of their brand and won the heart of their target audience. But Coca-Cola are incredibly disciplined in their marketing and sales and they have absolute strength in distribution."

Appology accepted, now let's get some Farmer's Union.
Honestly, Coke my try but Farmer's Union iced Coffee has become an institution and an icon here. I don't drink anything (as Norman can testify )
