What the? Talk about a surprise. You can see it on the ABC Skyline cam. Pikey does it look any good or completely out of place? Hope it doesn't wreck this fine looking structure. I'm in love with CC1
and hope this is a positive addition.

I found out some more info about it. It was a secret, only those who needed to know knew about it. According to the guy on site "it's over 100m now, not sure the exact height." The other thing is that the plan is to light up the stairwell at night and continue the lighting up the spire! Should look great.
Once you get further up King william you really notice how tall it is. I like it! Especially if the bottom section is clad in the same green glass!

I'll get details from Caversham to confirm the height, I'm begining to doubt the 25m claim, 20m maybe, even still, it means that this thing is over the tonne!

Wow that's cool, but i don't think it suits the building ANZ (cc1) is a wide building and a spire would look out of place IMO, but hopefully I'm wrong and it looks great! Especially at night when it is lit up!

Reminds me a bit more of the new Westpac Tower in Sydney with it's beacon than 200 or 220 Collins.

Is this spire actually a part of the structure? or is it like a flagpole or antenna mast?

funnily enough I just came across this render today in the latest edition of an architectural magazine - you can just make out the bottom part of the spire
CC2 is looking good IMO - slightly different to the previous renders we've seen
