I went to Glenelg today and there were thousands along Jetty Road, Moseley Square and the beach (Didn't go near Holdfast Shores Marina). Which would be mostly thanks to the beautiful sunny top of 29 degrees today.

SA Tourism really need to promote Glenelg even more, its got a great holiday feel to the place, vibrant atmosphere, great food places and bars/clubs. Plus to top it of it has a stunning sunset overlooking Gulf of St Vincent (aswell as all of Adelaide) which is very underrated IMO. Seriously some days it can be as good as the sunsets in Darwin & Perth/WA and they are stunning.

The only downside is the ultra conservative NIMBYs and the beach is average, however the suburb has a stack load to offer.

P.S Farmers Union is very much safe, tried the new Goulburn Valley Iced Coffee today and its alright but it doesn't compare to the beautiful taste of Farmers Union Iced Coffee - I feel like one now!

It gets like that every year when summer starts to creep in, nothing to really get excited about.
But I'm happy the temperature is starting to rise, sick of the cold weather.

I was down there on a Tuesday night recently and saw all the young people out and about, it was fantastic. Got myself some Hot Chips, which were fantastic, and got on the bus home.

i was just thinking, 2010 is starting to appear as a key turning point for SA:
* many of the "in progress" CBD buildings will be complete (refreshing our streetscape and skyline)
* the desal plant will be pumping out the good liquid
* tram extension to the entertainment centre should be running
* BHP's ODX mine (and a few large mines) will start generating serious $$$
* The Defence Shipping effort should be ramping (generating lots of top quality jobs)
* Maybe another 1-2 underpasses will be under-construction along south rd
* any other key items i've missed?

...and there's the 2010 State Election as well!
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

And since 2010 will be such a good year, you can expect another Rannslide.

I really wish Marty & the Liberals would just give up and realise he's got nothing to gain, like seriously.

Doesn't Glenelg have enough tourists already? Image

I love how everybody in SA obsesses over Iced Coffee - seriously, it's waay better than the soft drinks that people elsewhere like.

Sounds very elegant. Can I assume that you were the only person on the bus over the age of 18, as everybody else would rather drive than use a uselessly infrequent service? Image

so i'm guessing that u r one of those crazy people who try to drive home after a long night of drinks :P :P

just check out the after midnight bus routes, the N224 was packed last time i caught it (my only wish is that on fridays and saturdays, TA should run trains and trams all night from midnight till morning at 1 train an hour and 1 tram every 25-30 minutes)

and during the day bus/train/tram services are pretty frequent and it is usually cheaper, considering petrol prices are getting higher and higher and with public transport there is no worries about parking

I don't drive, yes that makes me a captive user of PT.

Secondly, I don't consume alcohol.

30 minutely is not frequent. 15" needs to be the MINIMUM at any time if you want choice passengers to use it. People don't like to plan their life around a bus or train timetable you know ("oops, can't do that, have to make the bus, next ones not for an hour") :wank:

No worries about parking in most of suburban Australia either - did you know that only a small minority of cars that you see driving around in the suburbs of Aussie Cities are bound for the CBD? No wonder that PT usage is so low nation-wide.

Crawf seems to wish so many people should've been left as a wank stain. Ease up.
