I think its time we have a thread for discussion on minor suburban projects, I'll start.....

Along Glen Osmond Road, construction of a 2 level low-rise complex is complete and has turned out very nice. While construction has started on another 2 level office building along G.O. Road

On King William Rd cabout half way down there is a pretty ugly development going on from the Liptak Group. But across the other side of the road I saw an advertising board up for something called "La Vita Italia". Unfortunately I'm not entirely sure what it was.

3 level office development at Rundle St/Parade West, Kent Town is nearly finished. Not very exciting. Would have liked a 5-8 level apartment complex for such a prime spot

Saw in the 'Tiser yesterday that some shop on a large site bordering Marion & Cross roads is up for sale. Would make for a fabulous TOD development given the very close proximity to the Marion Road tram stop < 50m away. Price tag is only $1.5m, which for TOD potential is a bargain.

The Woolworths/apartments thingywhatsit just north up Marion Road beside the HWY must be on its way, too - the little antique shop has scrawled '5 weeks to demolition!' on its windows and all the other tenants have vacated.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't a clue. I'm only going on what shred of information I (possibly incorrectly) recall from a thread a while back; perhaps not even a thread of its own but a remark made in passing.

I passed this site on the way to work this morning and had a chance to read the sign - the site covers only 2500 square metres and the building is leased until 2013, so I doubt we'll be seeing any development action for some time, if at all. The Rawson's site is indeed the prime candidate for future TOD tomfoolery.

Another large scale residential development happening at Findon, directly behind the Findon shopping centre on Grange Rd. Land has been pretty much cleared (site of old city dump) and first stage is a 5 storey (incl. basement) apartment block. I believe the rest of the land is intended to have houses and townhouses, however there isn't much detail available.

I agree re the Brickworks --- well not quite taking a match to it --but retaining the historic kilns and chimney etc and re landscaping etc to attract a higher quality type of produce market with a great deal more vibrancy --it could be a real gem given a chance.
