Yes you can, and you must!monotonehell wrote:You can't circumvent Darwinism.bdm wrote:The government seems to spend a lot of money in the vain hope of both preventing and curing stupid, but unfortunately the cash hasn't seemed to make much of an effect.
Stupidity is more environmental than genetic, and society has evolved far beyond the point where we only rely on our genetic traits. And don't worry about the effects of more stupid people in the gene pool, because DNA is already hackable, and it's only a matter of time before people start doing so.

That's what I thought, but when I spoke to the people constructing it I found they had been.AG wrote:I do have to agree here that future plans should have been factored into the design of the Oaklands Interchange, including grade separating the crossing and improving road traffic flow through the area.

This still isn't 100% complete - they havent put the cameras up yet, and they also have empty information boxes. I'm wondering whats going to be in the boxes though, they look like they could hold a plasma screen each Sydney style and they have a grill to cover the screen so who knows maybe they will take a punt that they wont get valdalised.

nevertheless, the gene pool could do with a dose of chlorine...Aidan wrote:Stupidity is more environmental than genetic, and society has evolved far beyond the point where we only rely on our genetic traits. Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Mawson Lakes wasn't 100% complete until around 6-7 months after the station opened in February 2006. These are only minor points though, atleast the station is operational.muzzamo wrote:This still isn't 100% complete - they havent put the cameras up yet, and they also have empty information boxes. They have installed the electronic passenger information displays now. They are the same style as the rest of the new lcd displays. I think there were 4 being installed on each platform (8 total) but i'll have to check
[COM] Re: #COM: Oaklands Park Interchange
When you say LCD, do you mean the style that is installed in Adelaide Railway Station or the standard LED display that you see at a number of other stations around the system?
[COM] Re: #COM: Oaklands Park Interchange
I'll have a geeze tomorrow and provide photographic information.
[COM] Re: #COM: Oaklands Park Interchange
yep they have 8 led info displays. They have also installed the emergency security stations and today they were finally installing the security cameras.
[COM] Re: #COM: Oaklands Park Interchange
The ticket office is open now. Same lazy transadelaide employee that worked there before by the looks of it (ie no shop)
[COM] Re: #COM: Oaklands Park Interchange
Photos from tonight. The RRT displays did not seem to work as of yet.
[COM] Re: #COM: Oaklands Park Interchange
I love the station, I do, but gosh that orange is horrendous...
