Courtesy of Stack Underflow, 720p footage of the Rundle Lantern opening is now available for download via bittorrent here:

The file is 460.3Mb, and is encoded with the h264 codec. VLC will play this fine, and is free:

He's our Adelaide Icon
I found it funny how Fitzy said that you can enjoy watching it at 3am in
the morning after a big night out...... Obviously no one told him that
it turns off at midnight.
Harbo mentioned he'd be looking into extending the hours on weekends. Ahh good old Fitzy, that guy cracks me up.
I don't see Johnny around anymore.... I think he's retired...... I think the lantern will become
an icon for adelaide

I just gotta laugh at those crowd shots, typical Adelaide when u can recognize like half of the faces in the crowd
otherwise, some sensational pics of Adelaide's newest Icon...

That final comment could easily misconstrued to be in reference to Shuz's picture!

Great shots there.
Looks much better than the yucky carpark that you could see framing rundle street from rundle mall. Would they do the centrepoint / target car park one day?

Wow-whee, they definetly need to put some retro 80's Tetris & Mario up there.

Adelaide United FC fans should check out the Rundle Lantern tonight as there will be a small homage to their hopefully impending success!
Also, thank you Sensational Adelaide crew for your support, questioning, promotion, content creation and enthusiasm for the Rundle Lantern project. Your coverage of the project has been fantastic and really shows that there are people who care, are passionate and are excited about the growth of our great city!

Thanks for posting Damien! Saw the article on Fusion in the city Messenger.. I reckon word will get around soon enough about Lantern interstate, no doubt about that.
