It looks nice, I'd have to see it in person. But first impressions are good thus far.
Hopefully the glassing will be as equally as impressive as the glass going up on CoH and Aurora.

I think they would realise this for impact but will probably be subject to finances.(USA falling deeper into recession with domino effect coming here). Stonework looks great - lifts the building from just another box already. Impressed so far.

Saw the stone today and it looks decent enough -- the polished finish doesn't show up in the photos.
It's early days yet, though.

I am a bit worried about this one, it is a massive building, so the finish will have to be of the highest standard. We have discussed this before in this thread, but the building will look nothing like the renders, especially the glass. Fingers crossed that this turns out ok.

To be honest, i think what will make or break this building (with so much glass) will be the choice of internal blinds.
They will be visible from the outside and there is the potential to to have an unsightly mess of white backed blinds at various heights like the new ANZ City Central building...

Pics taken today:
Polished stonework (hard to get the right light to show the polished finish):

The second shot looks fabulous, and you even got extra points for the tram! Only a year or so ago, that would have been a completely different world to what it is now. Reminds me very much of South Yarra, Melbourne around the high-rise end of Chapel Street.

great updates, thankyou. I was wondering what everyone was on about with this 'stone work', so I went in to have a closer look yesterday. This one may turn out a nice surprise

Great photos, the impact of this building can be seen throughout the city and from the inner south.
The polished stonework looks good thus far, something different from the usual glass we've been getting.

I can only add to the chorus of approval for the polished stone. The photos simply cannot do it justice - in person it is very, very impressive. I enjoy walking past this one every day going to and from work - it has the potential to be a very impressive building. Can't wait to see the glasswork. Looking through the empty floors from the adjoining car park, I think the views for the tenants of this building will be quite nice.

Those first two excellent pics Urban SG. Gives a top impressions from street level - really adds to the impact on the eyes from this aspect. I note the carefully calculated tram element enhances the coming 'CBD look'. Does'nt look near the forgotten windswept wasteland it once was when the hole was there from repco.
Again, well done mate! Wish I had the opportunities to add pics to the forum.

I agree with Omi, what has to go is that rediculous Berlin wall - it's a blight on the wave and Edge.

I disagree the crappy Berlin Wall building provides the new buildings with contrast, the shittier Berlin Wall looks the better the new developmentI agree with Omi, what has to go is that rediculous Berlin wall - it's a blight on the wave and Edge.
