I think the O-Bahn is the sort of system that could only work to its full potential if it were part of a 'metropolitian busway system' - not this ad-hoc naueseum of train, tram, o-bahn and bus which Adelaide currently has.
PT should be as minimal as possible, should be either rail, or bus. Not both.

What I think he means is that it is foolish having ad-hoc public transport infrastructure and the types of PT systems must be kept to a minimum. That being so I agree strongly.
The O'Bahn is a one off and ongoing upgrades hard to source, why not rip up the tracks and replace them with an electric train/tram system in line with the rest of the proposed public transport system?
