Hmmmm.....interesting looking building, if it was a police station or something. It doesn't look like there's much scope for interaction with the footpath trade from those renders. Hope I'm wrong.
cheers,

From what I understand it has a metallic texture, so should look doubly super. As for interaction with streetscape, there were issues with a large canopy from the ACC, this had been resubmitted to address that issue.

Hmm, more from the "take the plot and extrude it up the required number of floors" school of architecture (aka lego buildings), this time with yellow bits attached. I find this image rather funny, just what is this guy looking over his shoulder at? Is he checking his hair in the reflection?
Do we have any insight to the layout of the ground-floor? Is it a reception/foyer or is there at least something that adds some value to the street-level?

I like it! Has some very serious "oomph" to it, which Adelaide greatly needs. If they're using black glass also; they're onto a winner!

Are the tenants confirmed?
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Looks interesting, I do hope they include some street frontage though...

There are enough ugly buildings to knock over in Adelaide. It would be a shame to loose the existing façade. This building looks very unsympathetic to its surroundings. I haven't lived in Aus/Adelaide for 10 years - this style of architecture isn't inciting me back.

Hi all,
Long time observer who felt compelled to comment on this design. To me, this building reflects a city that is still in the 80's boom with a bit of decorative trim to bring us into the 90's, reflecting Adelaide entering into a recession, starting 2009. Everyone knows this is not true, we are better than that. I am all for this development if it creates jobs but only with the condition that it is torn down after the economic crises. A building on a budget and it shows. WTF are those tacky triangular projections at street level represent?
My apologies for starting on a negative note but this type of architecture on our exposed office buildings is criminal.

Yuck.
Get rid of those orange cut outs, and add some elegant shiny/reflective black glass(the non see through stuff). They look like some retro 70's/80's thing.
I don't mind the orange triangular things.
Btw this seems like it was done in Google Sketchup.

I like it.
It holds a bit more interest than the standard glass box we've been served up of late and I actually think it will age well. It has a touch of Melbourne garishness to it, which is needed to brighten our city up a bit.
One criticism though is that the triangular (don't know what to call them, um...) things at near ground level have no reference point to the rest of the building. It would be good if instead they could do something more aligned to the shapes of the orange cladding further up.

looks like 80's all over again to me - esp. the yellow. Garish and overpowering.
