But they weren't going to change the actual name of the suburbs only the area where the development is. To attract more investors into the area that are going to pay large sums for the privilege they should change the names of the area that these developments are in. The area that Mawson Lakes is situated in wasn't called that in the first place was it? I wonder how many people would have bought into the area if it was called The Levels?? But this is something that the developer should have settled prior to construction anyway.

Great pictures Crawf. Sure is coming along pretty fast. Yeah it would be nice if they did clean up the area a little bit before these are finished. Million dollar views of power lines and waste land yee-hah.

From this afternoon. It's coming along well.
From the Ethelton Station car park
From the platform
From the Jervois Bridge
Townhouses taking shape
Waterfront
Transport on your doorstep. With a bit of a rail upgrade, it'd be awesome.

Great shots AtD. Never knew they were SO close to the train lines. The residents will probably complain about train noise in the future - just another reason to go electric.

It's also the main freight line to Outer Harbor until the new bridges are finished. Not to mention the hundreds of trucks that pass it.

Progress is coming along quite fast on this project. Thnaks for the images Adam!
I am sure that once the development is almost complete, Urban Construct will commision some kind of giant wall to screen out the train and surrounding suburbs from this development.

The sales for the first two stages of the redevelopment at Newport Quays have been pretty strong. The first stage is over 80% sold. I'm not sure when sales for the third stage come online.
Ethelton Station really needs an upgrade so it fits in with the new buildings around it. Even just a newer and larger shelter would be nice, and maybe an overpass between Causeway Road and the new development over the station.

cheers for that AG,
from the photos the apartments look really close to the trai station. if i lived in one of those id probably want some buffer from the train station. Also when they become occupied the train station (ethelton) will probably be more frequently used so it would be a good idea to revamp them.
