Today a tree was erected onto the roof of Edge.. I know this means that a significant stage in construction has occuured but I forget what?

I think it means that the building has topped out. I think the custom originates from an ancient practice designed to protect the building from demons and other evil spirits.

I would say both cranes will be gone by the end of next month. Not much more lifting work to be done.

It's an old Italian tradition meaning the last of the concrete has been poured.
Walking on over....

I went past Berlin Wall the other day, and it is a slight improvement, but I await the final product to make a judgement. In terms of the new buildings though, thay make a nice impact in what is a low-rise part of the city.

I hope the alterations include painting the roof or improving the roof somehow. Although not visible from the street, tenants and office workers in Edge/Wave will get a good look at this...a lot.

Edge has topped out, has a nice impact further south along King William Street. Quick pic taken today:

I note that the development application says nothing about the roof - it would be a real letdown if unattended to. Encouraged about the other news - a restuarant should do well there.
