Looks like it's coming along quite well, I hope that the towers turn out to be in the same category of "We got what we saw in the renders" as The Conservatory!
BTW, tonight when we were heading Eastbound along Grote Street, I saw a crane with Blue Text on it, rather than the Green 'Urban Construct'. Maybe the 'Green' Crane was there, maybe not, but anyway, did anyone else see it and know what it was about?
I take back many of the things I said before 2010; particularly my anti-Rann rants. While I still maintain some of said opinions, I feel I could have been less arrogant. I also apologise to people I offended; while knowing I can't fully take much back.

It's the same crane. Once side has the green "Urban Construct" signage, the other side blue/white "Brookfield Multiplex"

Some clearish looking glass has gone up on the ground and first floors of the western elevation. Not sure if this will change on the upper apartment levels. The silver coloured steel is the outer limits of the upper levels which going by the renders will be satying this colour.
A quick pic taken today:

Are there going to be twin towers, or just the one? I may have missed it somewhere in this thread, but on Franklin Street, it shows twin towers there, not just the one.

The original plan has three towers on this site, two on the Bus site.

If we are referring to the 18 level towers, a total of two are proposed on this site (the other just west of Altitude) and 3 are proposed on the old bus station site.
As we all know the remaining stages are facing delays and the next apartment block (8 levels facing Franklin Street) has not even begun its marketing yet.

Damn! To be honest though, I'd rather we wait for the Global Financial Meltdown to pass, then complete this project as it was originally proposed, when the market comes back. I'd rather this than having a project with such potential being scaled down. Whenever we drive through Grote Street (or when I walk there) around Victoria Square, you get the feeling that if there was a large number of people living there, that area would really take off. I'd rather wait than compensate a long-term goal/ vision.

Whilst perusing the Interwebs, I came across this:
Aside from the rather nice picture of Adelaide at the top, that part (all?) of the Gallery is to be managed by Oaks as self-contained rental apartments is news to me. I wonder if residential buyers knew about this, or will Oaks find themselves in a Liberty Towers situation all over again?

I've just thought of something, that many have probably been thinking for ages; The Precinct, etc. are in such close vicinity to Riverside West and Adelaide Oval...

It seems only part, as there's been a heap of apartments in the building for rent from separate agents on realestate.com.au. If you feel like being a nosey-parker, the listings give a good showing of what the building is like on the inside.

Even if that is the case, i'm sure this is the first anyone on here has heard about Oaks doing this. This could very well be another lIberty Towers debacle as Omi noted.
Urban Construct really need to start to pull their heads in a bit...Oh and if anyone says 'what would i know' trust me, Oaks Horizon is not the deal i signed up for.....so i think i can say from personal experience.

Omi, a great pic of Adelaide - never seen that angle - must be a little elusive but one of the best I've seen - better that just the Torrens and the hotel behind it - that gives the appearance that not much is in the city of any size and that the CBD is very small - a poor representation for anyone trying to assess the CBD size. I'm always on the lookout for pics that show us as more than an oversized country town.

The Gallery has received some criticism for not having an active street frontage. Although things could have been better, these images suggest that the street frontage of the Gallery is not as bad as infered.
