Well I guess they have managed to create and then end a story all on their own. that takes some talent haha
Speaking of this development the "in between level" glass has gone up and looks kinds of frosted. Looks pretty cheap and tacky from here but will have to get a closer look before I make a final judgement.

It's not just the Advertiser - try the Courier Mail in Bris. as well. What a pain!!!UrbanSG wrote:Another article in the Advertiser today which basically goes back on what they said in the last article about this one stalling.
Instead the Advertiser says it is proceeding as planned. Hmmmm tell us something we don't know!!! What quality journalism :wank:

Wow.... Would love to know how they're doing it. The rendering doesn't show sunshades. Will wrote:The building is seeking a 4.5 star energy efficiency rating.RJ45 wrote:Does anyone know whether the building is Greenstar rated?
It'll take some pretty fancy cooling to handle all that west-facing glass efficiently.

From today. Not much has changed in the last month.

Thanks for the pic update Ben.
The pics appear clearer too than previous updates. Were these taken on your phone or a camera instead?
The glass had better end up being decent on this development, it will make or break this building.

Yes Urban, I agree, the glass will be the make or break of this bldg - renders indicate impressive however. Hope it also has a significant cantilever awning - it will look bear and sheered without it. Will also help break the 'boxlike' appearance that threatens in the future as well as give the usual practical advantages.

Excellent round of updates Adelarch, I really like how you have photographed the developments from new angles.

The internal fit out is awaiting to be approved by Council as far as I'm aware.

Thanks Will, and Norman. I'm based just around the corner in the city now so I'll endeavour to provide updates fairly regularly, hopefully adding to the excellent efforts of urbansg, ben and others. Although the number and scale of high profile projects is declining somewhat, it looks like there will continue to be a range of smaller reasonably interesting projects in and around the city (plus the odd biggie!) with any luck tiding us through to the next boom..Will wrote:Excellent round of updates Adelarch, I really like how you have photographed the developments from new angles.

Part of the King William St Hoarding / Gantry is coming down at the moment and they have blocked off an entire lane all around the site. Also there are heaps of workers around more then I have ever seen on the site but I don't know what it is they are doing yet..
