They should've opened a first part of the stretch between Taylors Road and Angle Vale Road. Let the locals know what they're going to be in for.
Cheers.

Works on the interchange at Gawler are well underway, there's quite a bit of work happening there now. I might have some photos next week of the works.
Re: #U/C: Northern Expressway | 22km
There's now a webcam up on the DTEI Website. Not sure which interchange is shown though.

Great pics Norman, it's good to see the work coming along at a nice pace.
Just a question about the Port Wakefield Road end of the expressway - I see that they have changed the design so that there aren't any traffic lights anymore, instead PWR will pass over the northbound entrance, and so has work started on this bridge (I see that it is quite a big bridge too, to cater for the Northern Connector - it's good to see some forward thinking again!!), and if not, when will this work start?? Also, does anyone know how they are planning to do it, will it be just like the Gallipoli Underpass where they temporarily divert traffic to the side of the bridge while it is under construction??

I'm not too sure how they will do it. I assume it will be like the Gawler Bypass entrance works. We'll have to wait and see I guess.
What I do know is though is that it will be signed as M20, as a continuation of the Sturt Highway.

deano91 - work started on PWRI about two months ago, bulk earthworks are underway and the substructure has been poured. traffic will be diverted around the site during construction.deano91 wrote:Great pics Norman, it's good to see the work coming along at a nice pace.

Norman, can you please ask your source what Main North Road will be signed as is route 20 is going via the Northern Expressway?Norman wrote:What I do know is though is that it will be signed as M20, as a continuation of the Sturt Highway.
I would not be surprised if the thought has not even entered their mind...
Re: #U/C: Northern Expressway | 22km
I'm not sure, my "source" is a road sign on Port Wakefield Road.

Sorry, shouldn't have assumed...Norman wrote:I'm not sure, my "source" is a road sign on Port Wakefield Road.

Re: #U/C: Northern Expressway | 22km
I'm very, VERY impressed with how work is coming along. Looks great! Can I just ask why it is taking a significantly shorter amount of time to build this Expressway than it did to build 1 Underpass? <sigh> I have much to learn.
I take back many of the things I said before 2010; particularly my anti-Rann rants. While I still maintain some of said opinions, I feel I could have been less arrogant. I also apologise to people I offended; while knowing I can't fully take much back.

The following may be old news, but they still have a direct relation to the Northern Expressway!

I'm not sure if anyone's posted this video yet, but according to the DTEI website, its UPDATED. I take back many of the things I said before 2010; particularly my anti-Rann rants.
