There's been theodolite action for well over a week now from the OBahn exit at Hackney right along the proposed route, Rundle Road to upper Grenfell street.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

Who's Theodolite, A Greek Surveyor?
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Theodolitopoulos is the greek bloke you're thinking of ;)

A theodolite is the tripod 'thing' surveyors use to measure levels...

Actually that's a level. Theodolites are similar, but more complicated. They also measure angles (vertical as well as horizontal) and all the modern ones measure distances too.

In the Elizabeth Messenger there is an article about the recomondation of extending the O-bahn to Golden Grove and then onto Salisbury.
Is this fact or just a council pipe dream?

That would be a great idea to extend the O- Bahn further north. It could feed the newly built areas further away from the railway line

I think the latter, and likely for the foreseeable future too.

Whilst it would be awesome, the big problem is, where do they put it? The transport corridors from decades ago have long since been sold off and devloped, making it difficult at best. I can only see 3 options:

1. Substantial tunnelling from Tea Tree Plaza north to Rawlings Road (which itself will mean the concept is immediately thrown out as non viable). From there, it could run roughly parallel and to the west of Golden Grove Rd through the park and wetlands (greenies would have a field day over that one I'm sure), terminating roughly at the intersection of Surrey Farm Drive and The Grove Way (conveniently close to the Park'n Ride).
2. Resume a small number of properties around Grenache St and Burt St, Modbury, and branch off the current o-bahn to feed on to the old 1960's MATS corridor (now known as McIntyre Rd) - this would involve significant widening of McIntyre Rd, and grade separation at Wright, Montague, and Milne Roads. At The Golden Way, buses bound for Golden Grove could branch off and head to the village, while others bound for Salisbury could continue along the old MATS corridor - this still appears to be largely present from McIntyre Rd (just north west of the intersection with The Golden Way) through to Target Hill Road and west to Main North Road (again, greenies having a field day with Cobbler Creek recreation park).
3. Stick bus lanes on Golden Grove Road, which is likely to be what (if anything) will happen. My problem with this is that buses will still have to travel at 60/70 kmph in order for the road to be used safely by others, compromising one of the o-bahn's primary attractions for commuters - Speed. Plus, having a 4 kilometre (give or take) bus lane some 15 odd kilometres out of the city, where traffic is significantly less of a problem, is rather silly.

Any other ideas?

I'm not holding my breath on this one. People have been pleading for this sort of service to Golden Grove for years, and it always gets swept under the carpet.

Geez, this could take a long time... or probably even be impossible! Would this require a lot of demolition including to the former Channel 7 building! :?
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

If anyone made their own plan on Google Earth, then I would not feel so confused! Do you agree?

I don't understand what your first post has to do with either this topic or the last post of this topic. The former Ch7 building is near the Hackey exit of the OBahn, but it's no where near the road to need to be demolished in order to paint bus lanes on the road (this topic).

Nor is it anywhere near the NE end of the OBahn for it to be demolished to extend the OBahn track out to Golden Grove and beyond (last post).

So what are you on about?

(Have you at least read the first post in this topic that explains what it's about?)

Or, what if they could make a land-locked guide-way like the ones in the UK for example: 8)

What and miss out on the fun of having complete prats destroy their car and get laughed at by everyone when it makes the news.
