Got some more photos of the work today along the line.

North Terrace is pretty much the same as last time although I did not some more grading going on. Some of the old stobie polls on the northern side of North Terrace appear to be in their final days though.
Image

At the Port Road/North Terrace/West Terrace Intersection, some more piping work was being done.
Image

Port Road after the intersection is still a hive of activity right the way along to James Cogdon Drive.

At Port Road bridge, the large scaffolding tower has now gone and the centre concrete pillar for the bridge beams has now been completed.

Work has now commenced on slightly re routing the high voltage powerlines which run along Port Road.

Port Road bridge over the Torrens River has now had the centre lanes closed off to road traffic and lane diversions have been added.

More photographs from today of the work.

Work on North Terrace is continuing with more grading work carried out along with extra conduits being laid in the existing pavement at City West. To access the bus stop which is still in use, a temporary path has been made with a temporary fence seperating pedestrians from the work.

Work is still being carried out at the North Terrace/West Terrace/Port Road intersection.

Work along Port Road between the CBD and James Cogdon Drive is still progressing but I didn't get any photos of the work this week, the scene portrayed in the last update is pretty much the same as today.

Work on the stobie polls that run alongside Port Road beside Bonython Park appears to have been completed although I could be wrong.

The Plane Trees that were prevously located on the median strip of Port Road are now being removed. Only three remain and these will probably be gone very soon.

More work is being carried out on Port Road bridge over the Torrens River.

Work is finally being carried out in the median strip of Port Road near the Entertainment Centre. It appears to be more tree removal.

The mini foundation with the 4 bolts in the foreground, is obviously for a pole to support the overhead wire. Makes sense to keep all the poles off the bridge, should the bridge shift at all the overhead won't fall down.

It's looking very bare down Port Road without the plane trees :(

I hope they are able to keep some of the grass in/around the tracks as they have in VSQ or at least plant some small foilage plants in between the tracks as they have on KWS.

I drove past earlier today - and agree 100%. With the trees gone the high-voltage stobie poles near the entertainment centre stand out like <insert simile here> I'm hoping the tram terminus draws attention away from them.

I wonder why the high-voltage wires were not undergrounded as a part of the tram extension - would have made tremendous sense me thinks...
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Beams & two cranes are on site at the Port Road rail bridge - I assume they will be installed tonight and / or tomorrow (?)

Probably doing it now under lights, with no suburban services running.
