thanks for the pics JK123 - there is no doubting that the wave has style. I found it even more impressive on personal inspection. (7/1/09). Glad to see the Berlin wall area fixed up and much more presentable.

A couple of pics today, with Wave getting it's finishing touches

Terms such as 'hero' and 'world class' are used too often these days that they have lost their impact. This is unfortunate, because in my opinion, particualrly Wave is fitting for such terms.

Can't believe it took them this long to finish those two .. they are only single storey .. why did it take so .. ohh, its not the two buildings in the foreground .. ohhh .. I get it ..
They do look nice .. Wave is awesome .. love the colours used on it .. Precinct (whilst I understand its in a more multicultural and dynamic area) could have taken some tips from this project

Wave is our best building of the '00's, imo. Just a beautiful building. Such a shame so many architects are in love with glass pods these days.

Pods just lllk like something thrown on from afar and hopefully stick. A desperate attempt at being 'different' IMO. Agree that this bldg is a great design.

I'm thinking Wave should be put forward for a Civic Trust award later this year!!
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

SUPERB.
This is the sort of standard developers should be striving for in Adelaide with every application.
More, please!

Whoever has leased office space in the Edge Building has lodged a DA with the ACC to erect 2 illuminated signs at the parapet level of the building. Both signs are expected to cost $75 000.

I agree! The only thing bad about this building is that it is hidden away where it is (ok, not hidden, but not prominently shown off either) This would look fantastic somewhere along North Terrace, even better if it was twice as tall.iTouch(myself) wrote:its buildings like these that dont deserve to be 40m... they deserve to be 100m
