Random Flexity Q

#1 Post by danielphin » Tue Feb 23, 2010 1:18 am

Ok, this might seem like random trolling, but this is actually a serious question.

What is the deal with the Trams smelling like baby diapers?

I have been on a couple of different numbered Flexity's in the last couple of weeks, and they have this strong odor that drifts through the cabin as if there was a resident toddler on board.

Or is it some new "air freshener", new linen? ugh.

Usually when there's a smell on the tram, I find it's due to far too many people getting on at Glenelg after going for a swim and not bothering to wash themselves off properly and getting dressed.

It's not just the trams. I think it's something to do with a combination of the kind of material they use for the seats and an enclosed space (ie no open windows for ventilation). Because the new Custom Coach fitouts smell the same from time to time. Some have an overpowering stench of mildew.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.
