Thanks for the photos, Muzzamo. Some of these developments, I would have to go a fair way out of my way to see in real life, so the photos are much appreciated.
cheers,
Rhino

looks like the perfect place to mug someone... i would never use this at night time and even during the day it would be perfect place to ambush victims.

He's right though. There is no passive surveillance from passing traffic, homes or businesses.

Here are a couple more from stop 6's opening day.

You might notice in these two shots that there is a covered-up apparatus attached to one of the canopy supports in the distance.
It appeared to have blue flashing lights attached and may be a security zone similar to those found on Sydney's underground platforms.

Are the "powers that be"-be it Trans Adelaide or Passenger Transport Division or DTEI trying to keep the new and expanded timetable between Glenelg and the City a secret. There are no signs on any of the stops about the new timetable commencing next Monday-22nd March.
When there are changes to bus timetables like last September-there are signs at all major stops/interchages/terminuses and a lot of the stops detailing information about the changes:not so on the tramline to/from Glenelg.Considering the amount of money spent so far,and from next Monday earlier starting/finishing times ,extra trams in peak period and changes to running times I would have thought that as a marketing and publicity tactic this was very important.
There is not even a timetable at the new overpass stop!

With the frequency of trams I would suspect few people actually read the timetable. All you need to know is 15 minutes.

Actually 20 minutes in the evening/early Saturday and Sunday mornings. There are far more frequent services along many of Adelaide's bus corridors and they all have timetables, notify the Public of changes and have timetables at most stops.
Unfortunately your statement doesn't hold much water! I repeat the "powers that be are missing in action"!

Are the mesh barriers on either side designed to break the wind ?

They would need to.

They are throw screens, designed to stop rock throwers breaking windscreens ...

No worries AtD, and at the risk of sounding ignorant... what is SSC ?

You're correct 'bay transit', I just went for a walk to stops 12 & 13 and, as you point out, there is no advertising for the new timetable (which is nearly upon us).
Both stops only fetaure the existing timetables and route maps.

Bill.
