Anybody seen his profile on the parliament website? Usually an MP's name is accompanied by a string of academic achievments, but not this guy. He's just some redneck from the country 'educated' at Bordertown High School. And the libs have this clown act in their shadow ministry!

Thank god this circus has a penchant for attaching themselves to issue that earn them whopping -6% swings at elections. Hopefully they keep up the form and disappear off the earth in 15 years.

Clown act, eh? Our longest serving Premier was a Liberal who spent 27 years in power, defeating Labor every time, and growing our population and economy at the fastest rate in the state's history. And he didn't even have a high school education.

to the good people who support the tramline extension, better public transport and less cars, lets give the dopey SA liberals what for.
I was given a anti tram pamphlet by the liberals with a email address to express disapproval of the tramline extension. Instead, lets give disapproval of the liberals anti-tram crap.
Its [email protected]

Is it just me or does it seem like the Liberal's policy is one of being 'against' everything the Labour party is doing? They say the tram extension is bad but what is their suggestion? For a change, I'd like them to say what they WOULD do instead of what Labour SHOULDN'T do. I mean specifics too, not generalist comments like 'it should be put into water infrastructure' because that could mean anything from giving me a better loo to building a desalination plant.

If anyones interested, petrol brain Rex Jory from anti-tram Advertiser has given us another email address to ridicule in their pathetic opposition to the extension. [email protected]
Also, the lastest misinformation is the concern people are having over the axing of 'hundreds' of trees on Port Rd if the line is ever extended to Port Adelaide. Does anyone realise this extension would use the existing Outer Harbour train line, and simply altering the gauge of the tracks. In other cities, stupid people with stupid arguments are ignored, in Adelaide they are high priority in The Advertiser!

Ditto!!

Whatever you do there is always objection, but when it comes to this inconsistent, irrational and dare I say it, sensationalist garbage, it's no wonder that their point is lost on any thinking individual.

I would have been pulling down those posters as well if I was still in Adelaide. I can see why the Liberal government does not stand with much credibility at present.

I read that article and felt like ripping it up and throwing it in the fire. I am so fucking sick to death of people whinging on about the $31m tram extension. gahhhh

I think its pathetic that he thinks there should be a referendum on these two 'small' projects - tram extension and victoria park. As it would waste money which could be better spent on water saving schemes  and waste more bloody time.

FFS there has already been public consultation and majority of people have said yes, not no or maybe but YES!!, if these anti-progress dicks want Adelaide to prosper and not become a backwater and a deadend place, they need to start being more positive and not constantly whinge and rant on about absolutely anything this state decides to do. :x

To be honest stuff like this makes me embarrassed to say that I live in Adelaide. I am so over it and I have only lived here for nearly 2 years, I don’t know how you guys have put up with this rubbish but this is driving me insane. gahh

end of rant

Did anyone read Anne Moran's comments in the opinion section of today's Advertiser. it makes me so angry she wrote what she did. She was basically saying why do the trees along the footpaths need to get cut down when the tram is running through the middle. Surely she is not that uneducated about the topic that she realises majority of the trees to be removed are the ones through the centre of North terrace.

I really wish she was not on our council.

These trees would be lopped when they decide to do this section of North Tce up anyway. Unfortunately it is called progress. I know that the trees look beautiful down that section of Nth Tce, but just remember we have all of the parklands in which to utilise trees.

I just read all of the opinions in The Advertiser and what really pulls my goat is these NIMBY's that claim that all of Adelaide don't want the trams! Did you ask me you stupid F*$ks! Why don't you get some actual stats to support your argument and don't generalise

If the government was serious about light rail transport in the city, they line should be submerged at victoria square and run under King William Street and North Terrace. It could form the initial stages of a city loop which will be necessary one day.
