Yellow is one of the Adelaide Metro livery colours. The Citadis trams should have the Adelaide Metro Livery which is a yellow front with a dark blue triangle and a diagonal red stripe!
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

The Sothwark Hotel is on the left! Thus, at anytime we would catch a tram to that stop next to it and drop in for a meal & a beer! :P

Alternatively, there's the Gov and a few other restaurants further up the line near the terminus... I have never been a fan of the Southwark.

I'm pretty meh on the gov's pizza. IMO, pizza should be cooked on pizza dough- call me a traditionalist if you want.

I've been to the Gov a few weeks ago. I did like the interior, but the upstairs rooms are usually for functions... :|

I made the effort of driving alongside the new extension from the city to the entertainment centre.

Three things came to my mind:

1. It's elevated!!! WHY OH WHY hasn't it been kept at road level.
2. The kerbing in some places is pissed.
3. The stations are bulky and stand out, but for all the wrong reasons.

I thought government projects were supposed to be refined. WTF happened!!!

End rant.

About 150-200mm high. The tracks elevate onto a concrete plinth then return to the road level, elevate and return to the road level along it's entire length. Not very elegant. It doesn't help that the edging of the concrete plinth is wobbly in places due to poor workmanship or ground movement.

Replacing the median strip with a tram line has had a negative impact in my opinion. They should have retained the median strip and replaced the traffic lanes either side instead  Imagine taking out the median strip on Anzac Highway and replacing it with a tram line. Sacrilege. I'm glad I don't have to drive down that road every day. It's just a mass of concrete and bitumen :wallbash:

While you are entitled to your opinion, to me the impact is positive and it signifies progress. The median strip prior to the tram line was nothing special at all, I drive down this road daily, the landscaping now makes it much more visually appealing. One thing I do agree with you though, from an earlier post of yours, is the hideous tram stops!

maybe an inch and a bit, its simply for separation of the car lanes and tramline, to signify to drivers not to drive on the tracks. Nothing to get upset over contractor, I think its a good idea. Seen how people drive lately? Even King William Street in places the tracks in the concrete are deliberately a cm or 2 above the bitumen, to signify that it is tram only. Same logic to those yellow humps to divide the road between oncoming traffic and the bump of reflectors to keep you in your lane, when talking on your mobile when driving  . As for the medium strip, I think best to ring 5AA or write a letter to editor over that one, caus I really dont know what the issue there is
