In Adelaide we have tram lanes that can be driven on (south of Victoria Square) and tram lines that cannot be driven on (north of Victoria square). Having tram only lanes raised makes it very clear to drivers unfamiliar with the Adelaide tram network where they can and cannot drive.

Personally I have no issues with the tram line being raised, I think it's a good safety measure and I have no problem with it aesthetically. The Tram stops on the other hand....

I think need to do something with the tram stops, if just to stop passengers leaping out in front of traffic once they have gotten off the train.
I'm thinking a fence between the rail and road at every stop and potentially pedestrian walks at either end, it seems beyond the adelaide commuters intelligence that running out in front of cars is a quick way to die, I gather they will just blame the government if they only get injured

The tram stops need urgent action now!
Help from some talented Art and Design students needed (possible authentic assignment/competition?) and a grant to fund implementation of the winning design.
The Fringe Festival has a poster design competition each year and the responses are very creative!
