If it is a typical Samaras construction, it will have plenty of (exposed) steel framework.
Cheers

That building to the left in the first render, is that the Minter Ellison building? For some reason I thought that this building was going to be taller.

The height limits for that section of Gouger Street were 21m, however they have been changed to 40m.
The Minster Ellison Building is 29.3m tall. However this building was approved using the old height restrictions, and the lack of activity on this development may be caused by the developer wishing to increase the height.

After being deferred last time by the council, the developers have included detailed floor plans for the building which now satisfy the council. As a result the building will receive planning approval next week. They have also increased the size of the building's rain water tank by 10 000 litres.
The design of the building remains the same.

Looks good overall - the isolated nature of the building from other talls makes it look even bigger! Good to see the western side of the city getting a few large buildings.

Wow, thats excellent news, however the sceptic in me seriously doubts this will begin in march. How many projects have actually started when they were supposed to? Still, it means its on the horizon, great to see the southern half of the city getting so much action, as it is pretty damn flat around there...

Different! Stands out. Not boring - I like it.
Does this now make 6 buildings either proposed or being built in the southern section of the city? (water in Vic Sq., this one, three in KWS Sth, and one in the next St north of South Tce (near KWS)? The place is moving very quickly. It will be good to see a spine of high rise along KWS. Will also add to tram usage and support the extension.
