we need to compare apples with apples. This can be compared to Melbournes recent rectangular soccer stadium of around 30,000 (AAMI Park), and cant be compared to an oval stadium of 50,000. Very good media sensationalism/beat up though

that is ugly

i can see why it is so cheap...its just an oversized warehouse and/or aircraft hangar they've dropped a very ordinary looking stadium into

In other words, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, with a pitch in the middle.

that's a "putch" un the muddle
Big infrastructure investments are usually under-valued and & over-criticized while in the planning stage. It's much easier to envision the here and now costs and inconveniences, and far more difficult to imagine fully the eventual benefits.

I like the idea of a BAR/stadium for 30,000! (I assume 'Barr' is a misprint)

Poor Pompey.
Relegated and on the verge of going bust.

I read the book "Utterly Confused" By Chuck Culpepper about a jaded Seppo sports journalist moving to England and falling in love with the beautiful game (in particular Pompey) it makes me so sad that such a good community-spirited club could be in such poo because they were chasing the EPL dream.:( :( I hope they survive must be my love of the underdog that brings out that thought, that and all of the passionate fans on the south coast(of Pomgolia) being left with non-league football if Pompey go under.

Notes: No seating installed yet, but surely only a matter of days now.[does anyone know what colour they'll be and if there will be a silly pattern on the seating like the Chappell Stands?]

The final roof support (North end) has been lifted and the covering has commenced on the second 'bubble'

Sure makes the east side look insignificant - awaiting similar size. However I do like the carnival impression the east side has. Seems a contradiction of stadium style against the parochial 'county' style. looking forward to the completed west stadium.
