“We quite consciously made these buildings relatively normal in their architecture because the market is not yet ready to move into strange looking architecture. It’s more ready now but when Ben and I use to talk to tenants five years ago, all they asked was what was the rent going to be. What they ask now is what’s the environmental performance of the building and then they ask about the rent,” he said.
With such comments, maybe we will see a more unique design in the future, something to really throw the development out of whack, so to speak.

The plan doesn't make clear what that taller building is, nor does the Aspen report from a quick glance.

Besides, I think it's just the angle of the render that makes it look taller than Westpac.

still, it looks much taller then Tower 1's 99m antenna which'd make it 100m+. I don't see any reason why they'd give a Tower 4 a taller effect then Tower 1 unless they were actually going to make it taller. Then again, render's are renders :?

If that's the back end of Tower 4 at 24 levels, there's no way it'll be taller than Westpac.

It might be taller than CC1, but it's not so much that they gave it a taller effect on purpose, just that it's at the foreground of the render.

Ben, did you mean tallest in City Central rather than Adelaide anyway?

In the first render of this page the tallest bldg of CC looks to be about 30 - 32 floors if B1 is any guide. Is it 22 - 24 floors? Confusing with the next render but I think What I have said might help.

Re the bold in Ben's post 'with a new tallest......' In context of the post I think it means that with all the other development there will be a new tallest..... (no other details for this one given).

nice, tower 7 looks like it's going with a different style fronting victoria sq. But the tallest one looks very ordinary, i hope it's not the final design..(a big spire on the top similar to DeutscheBankPlace in Sydney would add some interest)

at least city central and some of the other franklin st developments will add some density to this part of the city, what they've built already has had a very good effect on Waymouth st.

Yay for development and all that, but what an absolutely boring clump of buildings this has turned out to be.
