[PRO] Keswick World Park (incl. Emergency Services HQ)
[PRO] Re: #U/C: World Park 01 | $170m | 3x6lvl | Office | Keswick
I have watched this development over the past couple of years and expected so much more from it.
It is turning into a pretty ugly, pedestrian building with few redeeming features. And it's not really green, when you consider that many more people will need to take their cars to work there, as the public transport is pretty awful in that little pocket at the edge of the railway line.

Still, it's much better than what used to be there.

Building A is up for sale in today's AFR, seeking EOI. 11,605 sqm of A grade space fully leased to Coffey and the State Govt, estimated net income $4.1m.

Is that just an unflattering photo or is it really that dull and gloomy looking?

That's Richmond Road. I used to work for many years on Richmond Road, and unfortunately it is that dull and gloomy, even on a fine day. Needs some serious work - tree planting for a start. And pull out those Stobie poles!AtD wrote:Is that just an unflattering photo or is it really that dull and gloomy looking?

It was late afternoon, with the sun behind the building.AtD wrote:Is that just an unflattering photo or is it really that dull and gloomy looking?

Perhaps my imaginary faculties are lacking, but I don't see how any amount of blue sky and quality light would raise that building above boring.

I"m not saying it's the best looking building in Adelaide, but give it time to be completed along with the other structures and landscaping, I think it's the beginning of improving the density of the area and setting a precedence for more of that type of development and even better. It's not hard to see where the cbd is expanding its parameters these days, especially down Hindmarsh too. It's all good.

It is looking a little better now the plaza and the rest of the structure is being put up. A hell of a lot nicer than what was originally there.

1st building completed. Finishing looks pretty good with a coffee shop on the corner. Any idea of when other building going up?

Agree, looks good. I particularly like the bright orange paint on the Richmond Rd side of the building (and on the Funk Coffee Shop too). It has a shiny pearled finish. They have also done done a good job of landscaping the adjacent area.mattblack wrote:1st building completed. Finishing looks pretty good with a coffee shop on the corner
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
