Ditto!
Been following the count and updates on Twitter.
Just waiting for confirmation after preferences. (He should get a heap of Clarke's - didn't they have a preference swap?)
Stephen Yarwood's social media campaign has been very valuable in this election.

It would be a true privilege to represent my community. I am a happy and positive person who wants to be a “thought leader” that creates a culture of optimism.
a "thought leader" Stephen? what exactly do you mean by this?

The 5 elected Area Councillors are:
I'm personally happy to see David continue...
- * Anne Moran
* Michael Llewllyn-Smith
* Natasha Milani
* Mark Hamilton
* David Plumridge

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Re: News: Adelaide City Council
A day late, but congratulations to our new Lord Mayor and to Clr Plumridge. A rather confusing set of results, between them and Anne Moran. Interesting to see whereMichael Llellewyn-Smith fits into this - architect, planner, and a former Adelaide City Planner (74-81).

Lord Mayor Yarwood's new track for council

New Lord Mayor Stephen Yarwood ... wants tram network extended.
EXTENDING the city’s tram network, creating a Little India and ensuring the redevelopment of Victoria Square - this is new Lord Mayor Stephen Yarwood’s vision for the next four years.
Mr Yarwood, 39, was elected as Adelaide’s youngest ever Lord Mayor last week, ousting pre-poll favourites businessman Francis Wong and former politician Ralph Clarke through a “grass roots campaign”.
“I’ve spent the last three months walking this city and knocking on every door,” he said.
“I’ve spoken to thousands of people so I know what they want me to do.”
Elected to Deputy Lord Mayor in 2009, Mr Yarwood said improving public transport and cycling lanes were two of his highest priorities for the city.
“We need a strategic plan to determine a tram network for the city.”
The plan would look at potential routes for a tram loop and an extension to North Adelaide, he said.
Mr Yarwood said creating a Little India near the Central Market also was important.
“We really need to embrace the Indian culture as much as we have with China.
“A precinct is already developing around Market St and we need to do all we can to encourage that.”
The city resident vowed to see through the development of Victoria Square during his four-year term.
He also supported the redevelopment of Adelaide Oval and the creation of a River Torrens precinct.
More high-rise apartments also were on Mr Yarwood’s agenda.
“We need to increase residential development in the city.
“Eighty-five per cent of all housing in metro Adelaide is low density, so we need to provide more housing options.”
Incumbents Anne Moran and David Plumridge were re-elected as Area Councillors, along with former city council CEO Michael Llewellyn-Smith, lawyer Mark Hamilton and president of the Australia India Business Council Natasha Malani
