Beer Garden
Re: Beer Garden
Burbridge rd or Airport Rd for me, what does Sir Donald Bradman have to do with West Beach or the Airport. Sir Kingsford Smith would have been more appropriate if they wanted to name it after a 'sir'
Re: Beer Garden
a more appropriate question would be, what doesn't he have to do with Adelaide?dsriggs wrote:What does Kingsford-Smith have to do with Adelaide?
Don't burn the Adelaide Parkland (preservation society)

Re: Beer Garden
are you sure you're not confusing with Sir Ross and Keith Smith whose plane was (dont know if it still is) parked at Adelaide Airport for several decades?metro wrote:Burbridge rd or Airport Rd for me, what does Sir Donald Bradman have to do with West Beach or the Airport. After Mike Rann wins the next election, all main roads will be renamed in his honour.

Re: Beer Garden
my phone line over the past 3 weeks is so bad and crackling and static, that I get about 10 seconds of adsl connection per half hour. Telstra say that the test is fine, and keep delaying a technician to check if there is any water damage in the pit (which is what I reckon it is) or to the MDF. They did it again today. Cancelled a technician without even checking with me or ask me if the line is still bad. Should I go to the ombudsman?
further more I bought a new modem last week ($130) caus I was thinking it maybe the modem or filter, and nothing has changed. Its still bad. I live in a unit so they will automatically charge me if they need to repair a socket. If it were one of the million dollar houses that surround me in St Peters, they would get it fixed free, but those in a little 2 bed unit get charged and strata wont cover it. Sounds fair, NOT

Apparently Mental as Anything are doing a free concert at Mannum tomorrow after that leg of the TDU is over. Does anyone know what time? I went and saw the Black Sorrows there a couple of years ago, and thought I might go for this one too, but I don't know whether I have to knock off work early or not.
cheers,

Please do so, even if it's to add your voice to the many others. Apparently telecommunications is the most complained about industry.jk1237 wrote:my phone line over the past 3 weeks is so bad and crackling and static, that I get about 10 seconds of adsl connection per half hour. Re: Beer Garden
well I did ring the ombudsman to just ask a question, and he went out of his way to recommend to put a case in, which I did. Today was the comitment date for the latest fault report. I had a missed call so I rang Telstra back who said someone is out there now. Ive now got home from work to find my line free of crackle, my adsl working faster than its ever, and no drop out (yet), so hooraahhhhhh. The fact that they didnt need to come inside means that it was either water damage in the pit or up to the MDF, which somehow their line test ould not pick up.
hmmmm, dont trust their line test, and demand a technician
