Final set – some ground level renders.

Personally I’m liking the design overall – the form and façade are quite interesting and there appears to have been some effort to relate the buildling to those around it - a difficult task considering the different scales involved. I also like what the architects are trying to do with the public domain at street level as per below

The height of the building will be 99.7m, which when rounded....100m!

I see cues from it's surrounding buildings but truly a marvellous building in its own right. Looking forward to this one!

A lovely looking building in its own right, but might there be issues with its proximity to the Angas building next door? The proposed tower appears so close it almost looks bolted-on...
It's = it is; its = everything else.
You're = you are; your = belongs to.
Than = comparative ("bigger than"); then = next.

I love this proposal for three reasons:

- turning that ground area around the Pilgrim Church into what it has always had great potential to be (and (I think) removing the horrible Pilgrim Centre...)

- the design of the building, in how it kinds of 'leans out' over the base; and

- some serious change to the view from the tip of victoria square looking north with CC on the left and the black stump/telstra/this proposal on the right.

I'm surprised that the lower part of the tower will be hotel and not the top.

Some specific information on the development:

It will feature 133 rooms across 9 levels of 4.5 star accomodation

It will feature 16 levels of office accomodation offering 17 448 sqm2 of leasable office space

It will contain office accomodation for the Uniting Church on level 1, and which will be linked to the new Pilgrim annexe

It will feature 3 levels of basement carparking for 105 vehicles

looks pretty cool, but lets just wait and see, could be reduced another 18lvl box :?

perhaps the ACC could take up some of the floor space in this building, certainly looks better than that ugly brown thing they are in at the moment
