[COM] Re: U/C: Uno Apartments | 16lvls | Residential
yes, they changed the main structural beams because something happened with the interstate architects (?)
i heard this changed the layouts for most slightly, mine for the better because now i dont have a pillar in the kitchen wall!
and the bathroom has changed so now guests dont have to walk through the bedroom.
on speaking with the architects and project mananger (at the site visit a few weeks ago) they both agreed these would benefit most.
sad to hear you doubting!

New render:
Judging by it, it appears that UNO will be around 50-55m tall.

I like it
Don't burn the Adelaide Parkland (preservation society)
[COM] Re: U/C: Uno Apartments | 16lvls | Residential
Its allright, but should be 30 meters taller at least, cmon Adelaide speed up
[COM] Re: U/C: Uno Apartments | 16lvls | Residential
decent... but no longer seems to fit the location it needs to be taller (or smaller) in order to stand out more, hopefully taller

I think 16 levels is pretty reasonable in that part of town. No its not going to be a skyline changer (not every building can be) but will certainly build the density.
I also think the design is pretty good as well. Could have been much more bland. I used to live in Rhodes Sydney and there were umpteen apartments buildings with similar facade design to this one. Not offensive and actually pretty smart.

Apart from the loss of some west-facing glass on the front lower levels, it's not that different, even maybe better IMO.
Keep Adelaide Weird

Here are some more renders, i'm not sure if they're up to date, but they were on the architects website...
