I think it's just a revamp.

If anyone's looking for some reading, the State of Australian Cities 2011 report has just been released. You can find it here: http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/infras ... /soac.aspx

The new Adelaide Metro infocentre at the Adelaide station opens tomorrow!
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

I'm finding chapter 2 particularly of interest in comparing the differing growth patterns of Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. In the past 10 years, Melbourne was the fastest growing city in terms of people added (double that of Sydney and adding an average of 60000 a year, currently growing faster than that), but Perth had the highest growth rate of the three cities. Sydney's growth was more infill development than greenfield development - reflected partly in the higher proportion of people living in units and apartment - while both Melbourne and Perth are heavily swung towards greenfield development. There's a lot of international arrivals through Sydney, but the locals are also moving out enmass.

Yes Sydney is effectively an Asian city now.

Had a guy claiming to be from AGL talking about how the price electricity should be in my area has gone down and that if my bill doesn't show the proper price (somewhere around 75c/kWh) to contact AGL. I'm not sure what that was all about.

New larger signage 'SA Born & Brewed' has been erected above the building entrance on Port Road

Fond of the portraits of early outlaws popping up all over the city? Here's a lovely little video from the guy responsible:
