From Friday - I hadn't noticed previously, but there are several large black steel "lugs", look a bit like wingnuts, protruding from the columns of the central
indented section in Post Office Place. Maybe for exposed cross-bracing of the South & North sections, or mounting signage, or something else (?). They show in some of the earlier pics, but I hadn't noticed them.

Difficult to make a proper call until it's close to complete but I've got to say the different forms, patterns and finishes in the facade are looking rather awesome. Looking forward to seeing the bracing too.

Those "lugs" are part of the big cross bracing feature that will go up the eastern side of the tower. The render on the Woods Bagot side is what it will look like (and in my opinion, is the best version out of all of the proposals by far!)

I agree about the different forms and it is looking interesting so far.

I'm a bit disappointed with the southern tower facade though. The renders gave the impression of all over glass but the floor sections appear to be aluminium panels which look like a cheaper alternative. However it could look reasonable in the context of this tower, which almost has a more industrial appearance compared with CC1 and CC2.

Also who knows what happened with the colours shown on the renders as well. Not sure where all that blue galss went? I suppose it is City Central after all, they're addicted to green glass.

Both the glass colour and the aluminium cladding between floors seem to be in earlier renders, while the multicoloured panelling on the Eastern face appeared in more recent renders. Design seems to have chopped and changed a bit, but I think it will turn out well... time will tell
