I was in James Place at lunchtime today, and was struck by how busy it was, and how nice it was not to have a roadway in it. Nothing new, I use James Place a lot, but for some reason I really noticed it today.

IMO the most obvious of all laneways to really develop that laneway culture feel of cafes etc. With the back stump at the south end it really looks like you are in a city as well.

$plendless Shoes has got to go from James Place. It ruins the whole vibe/aesthetic. Just imagine how well a cafe or restaurant would do along there.

I walk through James Place nearly everyday - my favourite place is the lolly shop. So cool!

Agreed. Once Rundle Place is complete, Spendless should move in there.

Being directly opposite the Remand Centre, it's not exactly the ideal location.

Huh? Can't see the link there I'm afraid.

Inmates will walk across the road and hire the equipment they need to break out of the remand centre?
