Looking at those photos, it makes you wonder what sort of hallucinogenic drugs these development panels that approve developments are on, when you take into consideration some of the excellent proposals that get knocked back or forced to be watered down.

I am actually not very happy about this development. 100 Waymouth Street or the Workcover building is in my opinion one of the most attractive buildings in the CBD, and I feel this development will block the building with a boring/ ugly concrete wall. As the proposed apartment is for homeless and poor people then I can only imagine what kind of soviet style cheap looking monolith will be erected on the site.

I thought at the time that the renders on page 8 looked ok, but real life is rather disappointing! It actually looks like cheap social welfare housing which I doubt was the original intention!

What's even more offensive about this building is that it's right beside the Queen's Theatre. The new worst beside the oldest best.
