I can't believe I found this I'm so excited haha I was looking through the development applications for March and found this. I don't know how it slipt through without one of us finding out.

All it mentions is a 31 story office tower this must be 130m +

Fucking hell!! Good find! 31 levels at a minimum of 3.3m per floor you are looking at a absolute minimum of 102m and when you add in podium, features etc, 130m would be accurate.

Bloody hell!

Haha I know I'm picturing a slim glassy tower. I guess it's unlikely renders would be available for a bit although if an application has been lodged there should be some floating around.

Ask to have a look at that dev application number listed above. :)

It's all public i believe.

btw... you can track it's status in the ACC here
http://epathway.adelaidecitycouncil.com ... ?Id=248176

Also, it's being referred to the civil aviation authority.. so looks like it's definately a tallie!

I reckon ... did you just get back from the ACC?

Btw, walked past there about half an hour ago... here's the site. Looks like a rather narrow plot.

Just got back from the ACC where I nearly wet myself seems like there is two towers. North tower has a height of 168m while south tower has a height of 166m. The building gets wider as it gets taller so the top floor is double the width of the ground floor if that makes sense. She said renders will be on the website by the end of the week and has been sent to AAL for approval before the ACC can asses it.

A NEW TALLEST HOPEFULLY.

The elevation pics didn't look great but it did look all glass. Will be better when the proper renders are released.

This is marvellous news!

I apologize that I have not been able to keep people up to date recently, but I have had huge amounts of uni work, and also I have my cousin's wedding next week and my grandma is currently in hospital. If I have time in the next few days I'll see if I can get more detailed information.

Wow! This is amazing. I never thought I would see the day  Unfortunately AAL will surely not approve it. I am surprised this hasn't got any press in Adelaide. There needs to be public pressure for this one to go ahead. 168m seems very tall as well for 31 floors. It would have a huge impact on the skyline from all directions but particularly the northern skyline in that position on Currie Street. Fairly slim site too.
