topshop confirmed as a tenant in the building. Adelaide will definately catch up with retail in this new building i hope. zara to confirm this site also. wonder if mr. maras had some of these high leel retailers going in as he always promises adelaide

Good news if that's correct. Large new retailers don't open willy-nilly, so obviously they see potential in the market. A pity that they'll ruin it all with Harris Scarfe in the same building. Perhaps they can throw a sheet over it or something whenever I visit.

Got my info from topshop Australia. They wanted to be in the mall and in a new complex so this was a perfect option as they could choose the exact space they wanted. Zara is pretty certain to go there too as the borders site was too narrow for them. I sat next to their general manager on a flight 3 weeks ago. Aquila has also confirmed. Apple is looking likely as they could get their 13m frontage but are negotiating still. G star raw looking at breaking their myer centre contract to go there also.

Exactly. Apple has 3 tiers of stores - Flagship stores (like Sydney), CBD stores, and mall stores (for shopping malls). If they were to go in the Harris Scarfe complex, they'd have to go with the mall store style, which they'd be very unlikey to want. In the city, they'd want complete control of the facade.

If they were willing to sign up to a long term lease, I wouldn't be surprised if they were given a fairly substantial degree of control over the facade, given their calibre.
