Ok thanks, I'm no expert so if that's what they are that's fine. It still heralds the start of construction activity onsite.

I was surprised too when I saw the cages getting delivered when most of the site was still under rubble!
They certainly aren't wasting any time!
Nah, pretty sure I didnt, but thanks.AG wrote:Think you mean piles, not piers.

I would suggest it's not too late for the devlopers to add a bit more style and colour to the interior (and maybe even the exterior) of the building. Make it something a bit different, but at the same time not something that will quickly become dated or tired.
The fly-through shows a basement with food court and Coles, a ground floor of specialty retail, level one with specialty retail and Harris Scarfe, and it seems to indicate another level of retail above that but doesn't go up there to show level 2 in detail, all that can be seen is people standing around the atrium.
Will there actually be shops on level 2 or if that offices or something else? If there will be shops on level 2 then it would appear to be a reasonably decent size centre, which would make a nice change after the tiny specialty offerings of Adelaide Central Plaza and Rundle Mall Plaza.
I saw something about 80 specialty shops on an earlier post. That sounds like a good number really.

Level 2 will be Harris Scarfe, along with half of level 1.

Has the video been pulled? Why can I not find it?

I can't find it either now so it does seem to have disappeared. Maybe they've seen our comments and they're making a few changes before re-uploading it?

Looks good.
I don't understand how they will fill all those tenancies though, especially in this current retail climate.

Don't get me wrong, it'll be good to see once it's complete, but it does indeed look just like Adelaide Central Plaza - white and sterile. There's still time to put a bit of creativity in to the design - let's hope they seize the opportunity.
But seriously...

It's nice and modern, but it lacks the wow factor and as others have pointed out it looks like a carbon copy of Adelaide Central Plaza.notmichaeljfox wrote:The video is back: http://www.rundleplace.com.au/about
This has the wow factor, I just love the exterior!

Do you really need pillars covering half the width of some of the mall's branches?
[COM] Re: U/C: Rundle Place Ben/Adel Bank, Harris Scarfe, Coles 72
This is exactly how the Mall can differentiate itself from suburban shopping centres!
Wait, no it isn't.

it looks like the result of Adelaide Central Plaza and the Myer Centre after having a massive highrise root
I noticed that there is one asian lady and 100 ghost people that the asian lady can't see that are all standing around and not actually doing anything. I really hope that it won't be as dead this render at all.
